This inflation calculator was created by Renier Crause.

There are many sources on the web to calculate inflation adjusted prices for the USA. I couldn't find anything similar using South African inflation. So using the data from 1960 to the present, supplied by Stats SA, I created this calculator.

I used the opportunity to experiment with tools like Twitter Bootstrap using LESS, and with responsive web design in general.

The following was used:

• CPI inflation data from Stats SA
• Twitter Bootstrap as front-end framework with responsive web design.
• Font Awesome by Dave Gandy for glyph icons.
